Al Tourettes is another Bristol producer who's been making some serious waves this year, after his music was featured on the film Black Swan.  He's just dropped his latest EP and it's 4 tracks of his signature chunky future electro (proper electro, natch) - nice to hear electro that isn't just a straight throwback to the old days.  'Badger' is my pick of the 4 tracks on offer here; I've heard Appleblim battering it in the clubs since about February and it combines a rugged drum machine groove, technical production that showcases Al's skills without being overbearing, mellow pads and most importantly, a bassline you'll be humming all week.  All four tracks though combine a blend of melody and futurist machine ethic that makes for a much more rewarding listening experience than some of the over-hyped electro crew around at the moment -   grab it on vinyl here.
