They are, frankly, reprehensible creatures, obsessed with loud music, louder clothes, and cackling. Oh, and horses.
However, they do know their way around a DJ set, and for this I will accept the evil that they have done, are doing, and will continue to do to me. Below, we find their exclusive mix for Bass Music Blog, and an interview.
Be afraid. Be very afraid. But not too afraid to head to Dubloaded tonight at The Croft, where Ghettozoid will be playing a smooth and sexy set of slinky swing time show tunes!

Binga: Didn't you used to be Octopussy? Why the change?
BUF: I was sick of pussy, I am a dog person. I am also very serious and don't like laughing or people laughing at me, and that happened a lot.
Ghettozoid: We took it as far is it could go - giant octopuses, half man / half octopus creatures as part of our get up, sacrificing someone on stage for our 'Aztecpussy' theme... Plus we also achieved our goal of dressing up in our Egyptian Octopussy costumes and meeting / dancing on stage for Egyptian Lover - once we met him, it was game over really.
Binga: As OP, you were quite well known for your elaborate stage shows, or more accurately, incredibly impressive costumes you rocked on stage. Is this going to still be a part of Revolva?
BUF: Hell yes! There are enough boringly dressed DJs in the world! We have our own designer now Kim Hayworth so we've been able to evolve it along a 'futuristic couture' vibe. In the past it was often done purely to scare and disturb people - the Evil Clown costume is still one of my favourites. We've also managed to rescue our VJ Vitamin D from the ruins of the Octopussy wreck and she is creating a new visual flavour for the live show.
Zoid: Well. my life's goal is to get paid and attract as much attention as possible in 'costume'; wearing Kim's creations inspired us to move on in a new direction.
Binga: I think horses are shit. Discuss.
BUF: Well you'll be sorry when climate changing cars are banned and we have to keep two in the back garden - horse shit will become a universal reality.
Zoid: My horse is constantly reminding me of my mortality... Plus she listens to my woes.
Binga: Any good gig stories? What happened to BUF at Shambala? And what happened to Ghettozoid at Glade?
BUF: Shambala was when we killed the Octopussy, for sure! I can't remember exactly what happened, but it was crazy and wrong - therefore I blame the Zoid. The total highlight of last summer was playing in Glastonbury's bodyshop out in futuristic shangri-la. A storm during our set ensured no-one could leave, and at one point i looked down at the floor and saw muddy water rushing past all the open plugs and sockets. After a moment of feeling lucky about the fact I was wearing wellies, I mentioned this to Zoid and told her to tell someone - she promptly got on the mic and told everyone that they were all going to die! Everyone seemed to want this, so we carried on - for another 4 hours!
Zoid: Ha! Glade 08 was amazing - we played first set on the Overkill stage and packed it out by the end. As my adrenalin slumped post gig, my drunkeness rose, like a pissed Phoenix from the rave Ashes. I proceeded to arrange a wedding at the inflatable church between BUF & Zoid and Deekline & Wizard - needless to say I / we got stood up at the altar... Sometimes I run around Bristol at night in a dirty old wedding dress... Looking for my wife to be...
Oh yes, then there was the time where Stellavision wasn't going to wear any knickers on stage under her tights and hotpants, that she had made herself, in front of one of the largest crowds we've played to (NAS Fest). Of course, her hotpants disintegrated and she was very happy that I persuaded her to keep her underwear on. Thus proving that I am in fact the sensible one.
Binga: What's the story with One4Ho?
BUF: I'll let Zoid field this one...
Zoid: Yes, The label is called ‘One4Ho’. The origins of the name come from a seminal summer in Berlin, where Mai Harper and I first laid eyes on each other. It's about girls loving the dutty 140bpm vibes, and a reference to my love of Miami Bass.
The label will primarily release music at a 140bpm tempo. It's also uniquely put together by females (or replicants, as some of us like to be described) in the creative arts. We have Milk and Lizzie Eve (photographer extroadinaire - see her work on the cover of albums by Pinch, 2562 and a bunch more) covering photography and design duties. We've got some really exciting artists and remixes in the pipeline, which should all be unveiled soon. The first release is a track by myself feat Yolanda, with remixes from Blue Daisy and The Teknoist.
Binga: Shout outs or disses?
BUF: Shout to our top screaming fans Pinch, Dread MC, Blazey, Carlybags, and Loefah for the gunshot samples! Anyone I forgot Zoid?
Zoid: Oh my days - yes! Johan our Octopussy mascot, there's too many to mention really. Biggups to the whistles and horns crew, to Ginz, Slappleblim and Headhunter - they wore 'I Love Pussy' badges for ages. Biggups to Stellavision, and finally, Camp Wizard crew - they always bring the noise. There are no disses - just peace and love.
