Jumping Back Slash - Nectah III EP
October 17

I've been frothing over this guy's music for a year or so now, and am only, begrudgingly, publicizing his stuff because he bloody well deserves some wider recognition - if it wasn't for that I'd keep these tunes for myself. Having said that, he's already received support from some, brilliant genre-hopping DJs with their ears to the ground, such as Mosca, Chrissy Murderbot, Benji B, Alex Nut and Simbad. Yeah - ignore no more, innit.
His new EP dropped today on the fantabulous Pollinate imprint: six tracks of vibrant, bassy, housey goodness, heavily influenced by his South African locale (see Kwaito), and made to a very high standard of production. This is a big one from the release, No Love:

Samples and press release stuff here, tzeckqidt: (I'm spelling "check it" like that because I have drunk enough coffee to drown the Tory party conference - except not, because most of them breathe through gills)

Check out JBS' Soundcloud page for some of his other stuff and some great free downloads, including some wicked slower remixes of oldskool RnB, pop and 'new jack swing'.
Another SA artist on Pollinate is worth checking out too, his name is Moroka, I particularly like this free download of his, called High Felt:
