New DJ mix from B.Rich

What did I say about the cricket? Something about the Aussies grinding their way to 650 and then declaring? Bloody hell. Come on rain, spare us from this darkness. Grant us the unbridled joy of drawing a match against a patently superior side.
Anyway, sport of kings aside, B.Rich has just dropped over this promo mix, and I thought I'd wop it up for you all to have a blast on. You'll see from the tracklist that it's pretty full-on noisy rave energy - fidget house and wobbling dubstep. One for the vodka and redbull crew! So I don't know why I'm posting it now, since on a Saturday morning everyone will be nursing a hangover and listening to a spot of Royksopp, but hey.
It's got a fair few tracks from the Bass Music Blog lot though - Reso's recent techdubstep track Tik Tak, High Rankin's preposterous 'No Money For Guns' and the Rico Tubbs remix of fellow Finnish crew Top Billin's 'Playboy Anthem'. Speaking of Rico, his recent remix EPs included the B.Rich remix of Hot Girls, Dope Boys - one of the few fidget tracks I've been playing this year (the Mikix The Cat effort on the same release is another) so that's another reason for foisting this on you!
If you really can't handle the noise at this time of the morning though, here is my listening for the morning. It's not completely new, but I've only just got around to checking it - it's a podcast by Speedy J and George Issakidis. It's a bizarre, twisted thing, which blops along at about 110bpm, taking dark soundscapes, chopping them up a la Hawtin, and looping them up again all crazylike. Reminds me somewhat of the random psychedelia of mid 90s FSOL, in between lurches towards off-kilter house and back. It's cinematic, moody, epic, although not particularly calming. But it's certainly worth a listen.
