After introducing our little mix series with a selection of Derrick Carter remixes, you'd be forgiven for thinking that next up would be the same for DJ Sneak. However, Ed's just beat us to the Sneak thing a few posts down, and you would have been wrong anyway because I wanted to throw some names into the mix that might not be quite so obvious. Which brings us to the second name on the list, and my most favouritist producer of this sort of music... Jason Hodges. Now I can't tell you much about the man apart from that he's from Canada and he likes to post pictures of his dogs on MySpace for all to admire. But that doesn't really matter, because Hodges makes some of the finest bumptiest house music in all the world. It's music that was made to get people dancing and smiling, and it performs both tasks very well - perhaps it's something to do with little triplet rhythms on the percussion and in the fills? Or perhaps not. Whatever it is, it's fucking cool.
