Scion in the US - they're a big car company, or something to do with a big car company, or something like that. We don't really hear about them in Europe, but that's ok, I'll take their wares regardless. Anyway they're a big corporate company and they do loads of stuff in dance music; put on free shows, release free music and stuff like that. A bit like Red Bull do with their Music Academy, I suppose. This week they've released a free EP featuring an original by Todd Edwards, and remixes from Joy Orbison, MJ Cole and more. Brilliant. I think the original is my favourite but the Joy Orbison mix has a really nice musical sensibility to it, some odd but agreeable harmonies (*harmonic counterpoints actually. But, y'know. It's friday, let's not dwell) coming in halfway through.
